Dream Wandz is Relocating and Rebuilding: To a New Life

The Dream Wandz store is now located on Etsy, but supplies are limited while we rebuild.

Dream Wandz is currently in a transition period as we relocate our shop to a mobile set up. We've had a lot of unexpected (but not really) changes this year that might have left us homeless if it weren't for the love and support of our friends new and old.

As it stands right now we are selling off almost everything we own and cramming the rest into a 1983 Holiday Rambler motorhome.

It was a bit harder to figure out what to do with the workshop and stockroom but we have repurposed our old Shasta camper into our mobile shop.

Now the hard part begins, saying good-bye to a town I've lived in over half of my life.  Leaving most of my loved ones behind. Saying good-bye to a home that has been in the family for 80 years. Saying good-bye to the chickens and the pets that can't transition to mobile living. We will also be cramming a lot of animals into the RV with us, and that makes a small RV even smaller.

It's been a rough few years, and the only reason we've made it is through the love and support of our friends and fans. We'd like to take a moment to just say thank you to all of you who were there even a little, we hope you know who you are. A phone call, a text, a gift bag on the door... every one of those small things let us know we were loved.

We are still working on launching our YouTube channel to highlight our adventures, and will have plenty of ways for you to keep up with us, and even help out a little bit if you'd like.

It's been a bit of a shock, and took us all about as low as we've ever been. But we always find our way back.

We have always planned on taking the business mobile, we were just trying to figure out how to do it a bit more slowly and practically. Now it's more of a mad dash to get everything done in an impossibly short amount of time. It's all a bit insane really.

Over the years we have sold thousands of sticks to kids and adults from all over the world. Most were purchased from us in person at one Colorado event or another. We got to spend time with every one of those customers teaching them the basics and then turning them lose on the world. The smiles on their faces and the joy they express when they find that talent hidden deep within them is precious to us.

Some of those kids come back to us year after year to show us how their skills have progressed. We watch artists being born. What is better than that? That's why we do what we do, and the fact that we also make money doing it is just icing.

So, we'll get through this tough time and be back out there at the festivals with you as quickly as we can.

Please be patient with us while we rebuild, and yes, we do sincerely hope that we will be back.

We do have an Amazon Wishlist set up for the things we need to get on the road and stay on the road, as well as a Patreon and PayPal donation link if you'd like to help out. They are all listed in the right side bar but there is absolutely no obligation.

If you can't donate, we fully understand, please consider dropping us a note or a comment somewhere along the way instead. Even better, send us photo or video of you with your sticks. Just a little something to make us smile. Any reminder of why we do what we do would make our day.

We'll be back.
